Band Regalia


Description
The basic design element consisting of an arched plaque divided horizontally and bearing an octagon charged with a cross patte with rounded corners refers to the authorized distinctive unit insignia for non-color bearing units of the Eighth United States Army.  The motto Pacific Victors alludes to the Eighth United States Armys campaigns and operations in the Pacific Area during World War II and the Korean War.  The colors white and scarlet refer to the flag base colors authorized for United States Armies and dark blue is the established national color.  The Bands many decorations and campaigns awards for service in Korea are symbolized by the taeguk on the mace.  The World War II and Korean War campaign awards and decorations are additionally denoted by the streamers on the baldric and drumthe indicated blank areas on the design to be appropriately rendered.  On the drum, the two side panels in the back of the streamers may be silver color instead of white.

The band regalia were authorized on 25 February 2014.
